With their powerful song "Ich han dat Marieche jebütz" [I have kissed Marieche] they were the first women's band to achieve a breakthrough at Cologne carnival. Their debut album includes amusing stories, love, friendship, erotic thoughts of a bar owner or the meaning of life. With the title Darf et jet schärfer sin? ["Should it be spicier?"] their album irradiates vintage guitar sounds, slap bass lines and reveals their weakness for vocals. Both vocally and visually they are a provocative mix placed between Destiny's Child and the Dixie Chicks. Guitarist Jo delivers the rockabilly sound, bassist Lea beats with her double bass, the keyboard Lucy—who plays vocals too—bring together rock, doo-wop and pop, and the energetic voice and presence of frontwoman Peggy complete the outstanding band.
In cooperation with the producer team Adriano Batolba and Pomez di Lorenzo (Sasha, Dick Brave, Boppin' B, among others) the band combines five of their previously only digitally available singles with nine new compositions. if you want to discover more about these artists, you can listen to their records on all digital platforms or visit their website: https://GMOTheLabel.lnk.to/JetSchaerferWE
